Redefining VIP Airport Assistance in Panama
Tocumen Royal Saloon, a Panama-based airport assistance provider, is redefining the arrival experience by combining VIP mobility services with a strong focus on medical tourism.
Founded in 1989 at Panama’s former Paitilla airport and formally inaugurated in 1992, the company pioneered an independent VIP lounge model, detached from airline control. That early vision expanded into a full-service passenger assistance operation, designed to streamline airport processes and elevate comfort.
From aircraft door to exit, the service prioritizes speed and reassurance. Passengers are met upon arrival, guided through formalities, and fast-tracked through priority lines, reducing transit times from nearly an hour to around 20 minutes. “We receive passengers at the aircraft door, guide them through every step, and make the process faster and more comfortable,” said General Manager Julliette Fontane.
Over more than three decades, operations have broadened beyond corporate clients to families, elderly travellers, and unaccompanied minors, with continuous communication at every stage. This personalized approach has become particularly valuable in medical tourism, a segment the company has supported for 17 years. Patients arriving for treatment benefit from tailored assistance, including mobility support and coordination with healthcare providers.
As the only company offering this type of service in Panama, Tocumen Royal Saloon occupies a unique position. With medical travel on the rise and increasing demand for seamless airport experiences, the company is well placed to strengthen Panama’s role as both a regional hub and a destination for care-driven travel
